are blessed with a unique tropical rainforest canopy, made of a mixed

Havelock, Port Blair to
Havelock, Andaman white
Beach Resort are elements from Indian, Myanmar’s, Malaysian
and endemic floral strains.
Four
years ago, we visited the Andaman group of islands that lies in the
Bangladeshi sea (close to Myanmar, formerly Burma). The islands are
covered with rainforests.
We
arrived at Port Blair by Kingfisher flight from Chennai. We stayed at
Fortune Resort Bay Island. Other good hotels include Peerless Resort,
Sinclair’s Bay View and Hotel Megaspore Nest. Once you leave the
airport, you are in a paradise of white beaches, jungle and an azure
sea. In Andaman we have the 'real' holiday atmosphere. From Port
Blair, we left to Havelock. It’s a paradise for divers. We stayed
at Dolphin Beach Resort. Other good places to stay are Silvers and
Beach Resort at Barefoot at Havelock, Jungle Resort at Wild Orchid,
Island Vinnie's Tropical Beach Cabanas, Barefoot Scuba, Café del
Mar, Sea Shell Resort, and so on.
Dolphin
Resort is with clean and large rooms. Its location near the sea is
strategically for the aesthetic tourist. Ambience there is
indescribable. It elevates your spirit.
Havelock,
an island bathed in beauty, is the best known among the Andaman
Islands. Its attraction is mainly the diving facilities. With the
glass bottom boats, you can peep into the underwater paradise. Jungle
in the island also has many surprises in store for you. Take a hike
and camp in the jungle. Or you can stay in one of the luxury
residences there.
We
had 3 days to dive. On the first day itself, we could see turtles and
dolphins. Furthermore, we viewed the island on the hired scooter. We
consumed just fish, beer and cocktails. We had a very enjoyable time.
Nevertheless,
the last day on Havelock was an unforgettable day ... because we
dived with an Asian Elephant. Swimming alongside and under such a
huge animal is indescribable. We dived to 6 feet deep to swim under
this gigantic animal.

that shimmer like emeralds in the Bay of Bengal. The dense forest
which cover these islands and the innumerable exotic flowers and
birds create a highly poetic and romantic atmosphere Andaman’s –
lesser known island paradise in India
The
tree trunks are so thick, surging sea so soft and the song of birds
so different. Barefoot in the white, cool coral sand of a beach, you
will feel you’re again allowed entry to the Garden of Eden.
Walk
on the path leading to Elephant Beach where one coarse marsh meets
the sea. Hermit crabs running fast in the crystal clear high tide
which floods the forest with gray, twisted trunks and dark air roots.
Fish winds its way up the sand as if they just decided to leave the
sea and become land animals.
In
Havelock, one of the islands in the Andaman Islands, there is a
magical sense of natural primieval force and supernatural beauty. You
can wade in knee-high water. The toes sinking into the mud and sun
burns on the forehead.
You
can see piles of green coconuts fresh from the nearby gardens. The
cool and at the same time sweet and savory coconut water, moisten the
throat and any hint of headache disappears.
Andaman
Islands are green islands fringed by white sandy beaches surrounded
by turquoise seas. During the colonial period, when the British
ruled, the Andaman Islands were to exile rioters. No Indians dreamed
of the islands' beauty. Instead, people shook with fear when they
thought of going to Andaman’s. The dreaded journey to the islands
was called Kala Pani, which pointed at the multi-day journey across
an infinite and dark sea. To be deported to the islands was gruesome.
Its Cellular Jail aroused the same fears as the Gulag Archipelago to
the Russians.
Today
everything is different. For a new generation of Indians gives
islands paradise fantasies. Largest target group are Indian tourists,
many of them honeymooners, and the ultimate goal is the white sandy
beaches on Havelock and Neil Islands, two of a handful of islands
that are open for tourists. But before it's time to dip your toes in
the warm sea visiting the remnants of a bygone European civilization
on Ross Island.
When
India became independent in August 15, 1947, Cellular Jail on the
hill above Aberdeen Bazaar Port Blair was closed and turned into a
patriotic monument. The aim was to preserve the memory of the
struggle for independence, the torture, the harsh punishments of work
in the forest and all who languished in the 663 cells. A sound and
light show is presented in the night here.

Andaman Beach Resort |Best Beach Vacations | Best Time to Visit Andaman
From
the beautiful beaches and famous harbour sites of Andamanisland
travels
,the lush green forests, to the sparkling waters nestling stunning
islands and enticing reefs, the sights and experiences on this tour
are colourful and diverse - An Ideal family holiday ! It was
certified by a magazine no less than The Time that the Andaman
Beach Resort
of
the Asian continent is Radhanagar
Beach
- or simply the number seven - Havelock Island, Andaman nicobar
India.
Opened
for the first time to tourists in 1995, the beach is popular with
scuba
divers and snorkelers
and those who love the untouched wilderness which covers more than 80
percent of the tropical island.
Choosing
the most beautiful beach on a vast territory, mostly untouched, was
not an easy task: Andaman archipelago, in the Bay of Bengal between
India, Burma and Thailand, has more than 570 islands and islets. Of
these, only about twenty are inhabited and even fewer are ready to
welcome the tourists, as Havelock, with resorts, hotels and a few
thatched huts.
Yet
the soft, impalpable and sparkling white sands of Radhanagar Beach,
bathed by the most beautiful shades of blue of the sea and protected
by an ancient forest of Mahua, with even thirty-meters tall trees,
leave you breathless. The white crescent of this beach sprawling over
2 km is located 10 kilometers from the tourist island of Havelock,
and can be reached aboard a colorful Tuk Tuk that runs along the only
road on the island.
Havelock
Island
is reached by catamaran from Port Blair, the main town of the Andaman
archipelago. It arrives at the port of Havelock in an hour and a
half's journey. One road connecting the two coasts: one of the
villages on the eastern and the western, more wild and fascinating.
Just walk thirty minutes to the northwest from the famous Radhanagar
Beach and you get to other beaches, all numbered according to a
legacy of British companies who traded the prized wood isolate and
classifying areas based on fields to exploit.
The
first beach that is reached is also known as the Blue Lagoon, where
the tall shrubs reach down to the sand. A little further on, we can
see the Elephant Beach, sandy beach Borotalco, protected forest and
bathed by an intense blue sea that offers the richest coral seabed of
the island.
You
can also get there by boat or walking along a path that once used the
elephants carrying the logs to the sea. Now the elephants present in
Havelock are only used for short walks to the ocean. On this side
there are also the beaches number 3:05, two strips of white sand
beach with a very quiet and equipped dive centers, which also have a
bar and outdoor cafes.
To
stay, there are the Wild Orchid Resort with the local Red Snapper,
where you can enjoy local cuisine accompanied by soothing music, and
the beach 5 villas with patio and bungalows at the resort Munjoh.
After the beach 5, we enter on a path that enters the jungle and get
to Kalapathar, beach surrounded by dark rocks contrasting gloss and
clarity of the waters of the ocean.
